Why You Still Need a Travel Agent

What will a travel agent do for you and why would you use one in this era of online booking?

1. Information Overload- A travel agent will wade through the options until your preferences and budget are accommodated.

2. Rules & Restrictions- Rules and restrictions on airline tickets and vacation packages are not always clear to the casual travel buyer. Travel agents are professional travel buyers and know what to look for.

3. Your Needs Are Top Priority- Travel agents can help determine travel plans based on what you need, rather than showing you what they want you to buy like big online travel sites do.

4. Details- The details of your trip can make a difference. There are way too many dead ends on the typical travel booking. Whether it is the inability to get seats together, or disappearing sales, or requiring full payment on a vacation that is six months away.

5. Save Time & Money- Airlines no longer offer commissions to travel agents and most will charge a nominal fee for airline tickets. Hotels, cruise lines and other travel service providers still pay commissions so you may not have to pay agent fees.

Professional travel agents research travel everyday. Their experience is based on destination training, destination visits, resources, and relationships with reliable vacation wholesalers.
