A Real Wedding from Daniel Taylor Photography

One of our favorite events of 2009 was shooting Neil & Jasmine’s Sikh and Hindu wedding, a gorgeous, colorful celebration that lasted for three days, Nov. 25-27. Neil and Jasmine are such a cool couple, it’s no wonder family and friends flew in from around the world for their special event!

Neil and Jasmine are a photographer’s dream. They didn’t want anything ordinary in their photography and they loved our magazine-inspired vision for their wedding. Aren’t they movie-star gorgeous?

The ceremonies were held at Cahaba Grand Conference Center, where every detail was beautiful. Taj India catered and the food was simply fantastic.

We wish Neil and Jasmine a lifetime of happiness. It was such an honor to be part of their exquisite wedding.

“What an amazing Korean-American wedding Sarah and Jung-Ok had at
Rucker Place last October. The traditional American ceremony took
place outside under the arbor at twilight.  The Cahaba River Strings
provided beautiful music, before, during, and immediately after the
ceremony. As soon as the bride and groom walked back down the aisle,
all guests entered the house to find a delicious array of traditional
Korean specialties along with American favorites. While the guests
were feasting and mingling, bride and groom were changing into their
Korean wedding garments for the second Korean ceremony, which would be
held inside the house. The Korean ceremony was amazing, the clothing
extremely beautiful and each component of the traditional ceremony
meaningful and interesting.

While all this activity was going on, the outside garden ceremony site
was being transformed into a reception site. The arbor became a bar
area, a dance floor was laid, café tables and chairs were set out, and
candles were lit. Danny with Feel the Beat was ready to DJ.

After the Korean ceremony, everyone was ready to party and guests
moved freely between garden and house, dancing and celebrating the
wonderful couple.” – from Alene Gamel of I Do, I Do! Wedding Planning

“Collette and Fredrick are two of the nicest people you would ever
want to meet. They are calm, focused, detailed, and make a great team.
The three of us worked together to bring their somewhat out of the box
wedding to life. When we first met, they told me that they wanted
something very elegant, warm, and romantic, but with a formal feeling.
After many months of working with Scott Wedgeworth on floral design,
and the Wynfrey, we came up with a spectacular design plan and room
layout for the ceremony and reception.
Even though the couple were very traditional they incorporated many
nontraditional elements, such as having the attendants surround them
in a semi-circle, as well as having guests seated on three sides of
the arbor. The ceremony was very personalized with music and solos
provided by family and friends, and concluded with the traditional
jumping of the broom.
The gorgeous reception was warm and inviting with creme colored table
linen and chair covers with chocolate ties. Small favor boxes were at
each guest’s place, and included a sweet note tucked inside with
chocolate kisses from the couple. After all guests helped themselves
to dinner at the various stations placed around the room,  toasts were
made, cakes cut, and all guests danced the night away.
Emanuel Neiconi’s wonderful photography captured all the beauty,
detail, and elegance of this dream wedding come true.”- from Alene
