Do I need to hire a wedding planner?

Hey guys. I'm Steph with Engaged. Okay, so now, we want to answer the question, do I need to hire a wedding planner? Well, everyone has a unique situation with their planning, but my overall and general answer to this question is 100% yes. A lot of times, there's confusion on what a wedding planner actually does. Well, when I say you definitely need one, what I'm referring to is you need someone to direct your ceremony until you went to walk down the aisle. A lot of our brides are opting out of getting married in a church. They're getting married in a garden or a park or the venue, the reception venue and doing the flips, so you've got to have somebody to direct the ceremony and not all venues come with a ceremony director, so you have to have one for that.

Ultimately, they do so many things, but I think of a wedding planner as insurance that your day is going to go smoothly. This is like the most expensive party you've ever planned and the biggest party you've ever planned, and things are possibly going to go wrong, and you just need to have someone there that's not you or your mom or your mother-in-law or your best friend to manage issues as they pop up. It's insurance that everything will go smoothly that someone's got your back, they're making sure you're drinking water, they're checking in with the vendors and making sure they have what they need, so, answer to the question, do I need a wedding planner is yes.
