So many brides come to us wondering why they need a venue manager AND a wedding planner. What is the difference?? Ashley Stork, owner of I do! I do! Wedding Planning and Consulting is here to explain the duties of each one, and how both are crucial for a stress-free wedding day!
To re-cap, the biggest difference is that a venue manager is in charge of all that's happening inside the venue, like catering and timing. They are more familiar with how events go at this particular location, and can deal with the little nuances that an outside planner may not know about.
On the other hand, a wedding planner coordinates things that are outside the venue, like, hair and make-up, photographers and transportation. They make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time so that you can just relax and focus on getting MARRIED!
