It’s hard to believe it’s been over a year since Johanna and Jack said “I do” on the loveliest spring day, surrounded by their favorite people. Everything about their wedding felt true to them—easy, fun, and filled with the people they love. And we’re still not over their choice to skip the cake and go with an ice cream bar instead. So fun!

Johanna recently shared a little look back:
“We’re just over our first year of marriage! We’re currently living in an apartment in Mountain Brook and love all the places we can walk to. Jack and I worked at a camp together growing up, but bumped back into each other in Birmingham the summer of 2019 while out with friends. We’ve been together ever since. Getting introduced for our first dance, the reception as a whole, and getting to see all the hard work come to fruition was amazing.”

“Lock down your venue/date as quickly as you can. It helps so much with setting a budget, figuring out what you can and can’t do in a space, and helps give an idea of how many guests you can invite. Work with a coordinator like Engaged Wedding Library, so that wedding day is as stress free as possible. We were able to show up to our wedding and truly feel like the honorary guest versus feeling like hosts.”
