ABOUT CALA COFFEE:
Cala Coffee was founded by Mel and Josh Cosio in 2021 when the couple built their coffee cart and began learning the art of roasting coffee. We chose the name Cala, as we are originally from California, but have been in Alabama since 2016 (CAlifornia + aLAbama = Cala!). In 2023, we opened two coffee shops in Birmingham — we continue to roast our own coffee our of our Cahaba Heights cafe! In addition to our two coffee shops, we continue to operate our coffee cart, which can usually be found at weddings, corporate events, and farmers markets. In addition to renting the coffee cart, we also love fulfilling special coffee orders *think: wedding favors*!
WHY WE LOVE:
Their mission is to help others “Create Good Days” and they accomplish that by providing excellent drinks made by friendly, energetic baristas! Cala’s Coffee Cart rental is a great addition to any wedding, as their drinks will help energize guests to get them ready for the dance floor and also serve as a nice alternative to alcoholic beverages. Josh, Mel, and their staff are always so great to work with and they help each couple curate a personalized menu complete with signature drinks, hot and iced espresso-based drinks, and non-coffee drinks!
